All of our wooden puzzle games, but especially these simple peg-board games, make great stocking stuffers at Christmas time, and are ideal as kids travel games for that long car ride, and rainy Summer days while on vacation.
Tic Tac Toe is the all-time favorite peg board game, known by all children. It is played by 2. The lighter colored pegs start, and the first player to get 3 in a row is the winner. Tic Tac Toe is best for younger kids.
Strategy is a challenging peg board game for one player. Start with any 1 hole open and proceed by jumping over pegs as in checkers, removing those pegs which are jumped. The objective is to finish with just 1 peg left. Since there are 15 different holes which can be the starting open hole, many different solutions exist. One variation to make the challenge more difficult is to try to end up with the last peg in the starting open hole. For kids ages 5 up to adult.
8 Men on a Raft is a fun peg board game for one. You start with the 4 light colored pegs on one side and the 4 dark colored pegs on the other side, with the center hole open. The objective is to change ends with the colors by moving one peg at a time either into an adjacent open hole, or by jumping over 1 peg. Pegs may only be moved foreward. For kids ages 5 up. A solution is included on the header.
All games are packaged in a plastic bag, with a header that
includes all the necessary instructions.
