. “3D” Tic Tac Toe is a fun peg-board game for 2 players. It adds another level of complexity (the 3rd dimension) to the age old favorite. The game board is 3-1/2” square and has 9 posts on which the players place their discs(27 in all). The objective is to be first to get 3 of your discs to form a straight line in any direction, while preventing your opponent from doing the same. Ages 4 to 10.
4 In a Row is a stimulating peg board game of strategy for 2 players. It is played similarly to 3D Tic Tac Toe, but is more complex because there are many more winning solutions. To play one player takes the white discs and the other the dark. Players alternate placing discs on the posts and try to get 4 of their discs to form either: 1- a square on any one level, or 2- a straight line: vertically (on one post), horizontally (on one level), or diagonally (on successive levels). As players advance in skill (and age) they may include the diagonal (or spiraling) square as an additional winning solution. Ages 7 to adult.
“L”-ementary is a challenging peg board game which was invented in the 1800’s, and is as popular with adults as with kids. To start you arrange like colored pegs on opposite sides of the diagonal line, leaving the center hole open. The objective is to change sides in the fewest moves - 50 is respectful, 45 near impossible! To play you must move the pegs one at a time, in an “L” shape: either 2 holes foreward and 1 hole sideways, or 1 hole foreward and 2 holes sideways. (Similar to the Knight in Chess.) Ages 6 to adult.
